CHRISTMAS ASSISTANCE
Please read carefully before completing the application.
Please note that registration does not mean you will receive assistance.
Once you have completed your application, it will be reviewed for eligibility.
ONLY THOSE APPLICANTS WHO MEET THE ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS will receive an email in December with an appointment date and time. The date and time cannot be changed, and the applicant must attend in person.
The following documentation must be submitted to SALARMYFREEPORT@GMAIL.COM within 24 hours of submitting your application or your application will be rejected. You can scan it or take a picture and add it to the email.
• Power bill number (not older than 3 months)
• NIB card for every adult over the age of 18 who is living in the household
• If working, upload income information showing $ amount
• Income information needs to be provided for each member in the household who is working
NOTE that all related persons living at the same address are considered to be one family.
Food Assistance on Thursdays
The Salvation Army Food Assistance Program is specifically intended to assist individuals/families that struggle to have enough food. This typically means people who are unemployed or facing exceptional circumstances. IT IS NOT INTENDED AS A SUPPLEMENT FOR PEOPLE WHO CAN PROVIDE THEIR BASIC PERSONAL NEEDS. By making an appointment, you are agreeing that you are facing genuine financial difficulties at the present time. While we want to assist as many people as we can, due to limited resources, we reserve the right to decline and cancel any appointment as we deem necessary.
Food assistance is only provided once every 90 days.
